A friend and I were traveling from Savannah to Daytona Beach. We saw Mama's Kitchen pop up on the list of options near-ish to where we coming up to, and even though it was about an hour (roundtrip) out of the way, the reviews made it impossible to not want to check it out. And we are SO glad we did! Seriously, some of the best food we had over the course of our 10-day trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, the environment was really laid back and homey, and above all, the food was everything we hoped it would be and more. If you're in the area, even if it requires you to go a little bit off course, do it! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Great place to eat if you like "country cooking" especially in a city where there aren't very many eating places or choices.

DW had a local friend suggest this place for lunch. We were received by 2 friendly ladies. She took much care in preparing our lunch plates, cafeteria style. We both had the smothered pork chops with 2 sides. Food was good and served hot. Restroom was kinda rough, out of paper towels and toliet paper.

Our MC group rolled in after Church on Sunday without warning ior preparing them in advance. They had to fry up more chicken for us but did it with Smiles. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was great. We'll be stopping by again but will let them know in advance so they are ready for us.

Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, black eyed peas, mustard greens, potato salad, and hot water cornbread. Man I hurt myself. Oh and a piece of Jelly cake smh .
